Every year, Wyeth donates much needed medicines and healthcare products to help aid groups respond to emergency relief needs and improve global health care services.
Support for International Health Partners
Wyeth works closely with International Health Partners (IHP), donating much needed medicines to developing countries and areas affected by disasters, such as the South Asian tsunami in December 2004 and earthquake in October 2005.
IHP is a charitable organisation dedicated to providing donated medical aid to communities in the developing world by linking the UK’s medical community and pharmaceutical medical companies with organisations and individuals involved in providing humanitarian aid to the world’s most needy people.

The devastating South Asian earthquake was followed by an outbreak of meningitis C. Wyeth donated vaccines to assist control of this life-threatening disease.
The vaccines were supplied under the aegis of the World Health Organisation, with the involvement of International Health Partners.
Many vaccines need temperature-controlled transport, and the Wyeth distribution centre at Havant ensured this with a sophisticated cold-chain delivery service to Islamabad.
