The Transplant Games is the brainchild of transplant surgeon Maurice Slapak. Wyeth is a major sponsor for this annual event. Last year over 500 competitors, including almost 100 children, took part. All had undergone major organ transplant surgery.
15 cities have hosted the British Transplant Games. This year’s event will be held at Bath, 17th-20th August 2006.
