Gosport is the base for truly international research within Wyeth’s Chemical and Pharmaceutical Development - a programme committed to achieving 12 new compounds into development every year to meet the ultimate goal of two NDAs year-on-year.
We work closely with our US parent in Pharmaceutical Formulation and Analytical Research and Development for worldwide markets.
Gosport is a global centre of excellence, FDA and MHRA audited and well-recognised by the agencies. We tackle the development of a wide variety of dosage forms, sterile and non-sterile manufacturing, clinical supplies packaging and distribution. This is the site of the only sterile unit within Wyeth internationally. Substantial investment in people and state-of-the-art facilities ensures we take the challenge of clinical and pre-clinical pharmaceutical development beyond the laboratory utilising our on-site pilot-scale manufacturing facilities.

The working environment
Wyeth Research is set in six acres overlooking the beautiful Fareham Creek. There is an 80,000 square feet building footprint containing some of the latest analytic equipment, a dedicated distribution centre including cold chain, and congenial open-plan working areas. Parking is on-site.

Gosport is on a south coast peninsula, with 17 miles of water frontage taking in Portsmouth and the maritime playground of the Solent. It has all the amenities to match - historical sites, superb beaches, safe bathing waters and protected wildlife areas.
There is a great choice of shops, places to eat, famous pubs, and sports centres and clubs.
Schools and further education facilities are excellent.
A wide variety of residential accommodation is available and commuting is quite easy. Staff choose to live either in the rural inland areas, costal locations such as Lee-on-the-Solent, or the town and city hubs of Fareham, Portsmouth, Gosport itself, or Southsea.
