2000. For the world’s first conjugate vaccine against meningococcal group C disease (meningitis C). We prioritised the development and manufacture - enabling the introduction of an NHS vaccination programme that has led to a major reduction in cases of this life-threatening disease.

2002. Wyeth achieved a Prix Galien commendation for the world’s first-in-class biological treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and other INF-mediated diseases.

2004. For the world’s first conjugate vaccine against serious pneumococcal disease in children - such as meningitis, septicaemia and pneumonia. The vaccine has since been recommended for inclusion the UK child immunisation programme.

2005. The Discoverers Award, the US pharmaceutical industry’s highest scientific award, was presented to Wyeth research scientists - Dr Ronald J Eby, Dr Dace Madore and Dr Velupillai Puvanesarajah.

 

 


 

2005. Wyeth received two global industry accolades – ‘Best Management Team’ and ‘Best Partnership Alliance’ - in the inaugural 2005 Scrip Awards, held in London on 7th December 2005.
